![]() ![]() But I have discovered that the lipsticks that make deep autumn skin glow are really dark ones like spice, rust, mahogany or brown. Even before trying to find out which season I am, I already wore only dark clothes but I have a “problem” with the make up: I am not a person who likes strong and rich colors on the face, I have never put on a red lipstick to go out, I just use a lip balm or a gloss for work. I am almost sure I am a Deep Autumn since pastels totally wash me out, summer and even winter colors colors make my skin look gray and bright colors overwhelm my face. Would you say I got my season wrong? Any suggestions? Should all the colors of one’s own season work? Thanks!!! Optical white is not great, but not deadly, either. black is not my best color but it doesn’t look too bad, especially if the clothes are made of wool or velvet. My worst colors (= people asking me if I’m sick) are camel, very light pastels, dark greys. So, is it possible that some colors of my season don’t work for me? Do I have it all wrong? (I can definetly borrow some shades from deep winter, but not all deep winter shades work.) While autumn greens (pine, khaki, greyed and military greens) make me look wonderful I really cannot wear the camels and beiges of this season. Apart from my lips (and cool hair color – it has cooled with age), everything else seems to point to a deep autumn. My hair and eyebrows are a very cool medium-to-dark brown. My eyes are a very warm (reddish-orangey) shade of medium-to-dark brown. I think I am an autum, as my (fair/ medium fair) complexion leans a bit warm (my face is much more neutral than my body, but still looks a bit better in gold than silver). ![]() ![]() I have a lot of doubts however – though I know it is very difficult for someone to answer without pictures or meeting in person. Thank you for this comprehensive list of best and worst colors! ![]()
